I entered the field of education after many years in the trades. At first glance this may seem to be a huge career shift, but while in the Electrical trade, I was able to train and educate many apprentices in a one on one setting. When the opportunity arose for me to formally instruct apprentices in a classroom setting, I jumped at it and I have never looked back.
Ever since the beginning of my educational career, I have continually sought to improve my public speaking and teaching skills. Mind mapping has been one of the most profound skills that I have acquired. As a public speaker, I have used mind mapping and the iMindMap software to develop presentations and lectures. As an educator I have used iMindMap to develop lesson plans and also as a method of doing collaborative review to improve student retention.
As the first licensed iMindMap Instructor in Canada, I would be delighted to impart my knowledge of mind mapping and the iMindMap software
